Always creating opportunities for live performance with a difference, Production One Ltd. took 
a different turn from the proven and successful Jazz Artists on the Greens, to create an intimate series of shows focused on the female voice. SONGBIRDS…live is a new concert series featuring female Caribbean vocalists; a performance showcase featuring, on a regular basis, some of the most notable upcoming and unheralded female voices in contemporary music in Trinidad and Tobago with an ear turned to Jazz and World Music. Singing in sometimes new collaborations that offer just enough of the improvisatory surprise which is the hallmark of jazz, these smaller productions from Production One Ltd. serve as a platform for the recording of the performances with the ultimate reward being The Best of SONGBIRDS…live CD available at the end of the series. Each concert is about 90 minutes featuring a singer with a trio of musicians maximum. The ambiance is maintained after the show for some hours with music.
The final performance in the 2009 series, will be a special fund-raising benefit performance on behalf of The Association of Female Executives of Trinidad and Tobago (AFETT) on Wednesday, December 02, 2009 from 8:00 pm at the AURA Restaurant & Bar in Port of Spain with GERMAINE WILSON. Tickets are TT$150.00
In forthcoming years, the scope of artists would expand beyond the boundary of Trinidad and Tobago.
